Clay comes in a variety of colours white tend to be pure clay minerals where as natural clays can be anything from red though to black depending what impurities are in it.
Wet clay has a plasticity to it so great for making anything you can imagine, then drys and hardens but still fragile and then fired at high tempetures this makes it useable anything from bricks to build houses, tiles for wall & floors, bowl,cups decorative objects the list is endless.
